How to Identify Resin Faux Pearl vs. Glass Faux Pearl

Pearls and vintage go hand in hand. It’s good to know the different types of materials that can be used to make faux pearls for costume jewelry. We are going to take a look at the difference between resin faux pearls and glass faux pearls using sound.

In this video, you can hear that glass faux pearls have a higher pitch sound (like glass) when lightly tapped together compared to resin which has a deeper tone when lightly tapped together.
